THE MANDORUN STORY
MandoRun Athletics was founded by U.S. Navy veteran, Heather McPaul in 2024 after falling in love with running half marathons. She wanted to be able to share the feeling of empowerment and the many benefits of running and training with others.
Running provides several benefits that serve to foster healthier well-being for one's mind and body. It helps to relieve stress, boost the brain’s abilities, decrease anxiety by increasing endocannabinoids (biochemical substances similar to cannabis but naturally produced by the body), improve moods, increase levels of a brain-derived protein in the body which improves working memory, focus, and learning, helps to facilitate restful sleep, and can increase productivity and creativity. MandoRun's mission is to help others enjoy the art of running through camaraderie, education, and experience.

“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.” - F. Scott Fitzgerald
